In war-torn Ukraine, children are bearing the brunt of the conflict, facing devastating effects such as psychological trauma, disrupted education, and constant endangerment. Many have endured the loss of homes, and the separation from their families, and live in perpetual fear of violence.

Acknowledging the children's plight, SVPSO offered free speech and debate coaching classes to Ukrainian high schoolers. The organization is deeply moved by the students' exceptional resilience and enthusiasm in attending these classes, despite the challenges posed by power cuts. SVPSO expresses heartfelt gratitude to Oleksandra Vasylkivska, a Kyiv resident, who played a pivotal role in facilitating this educational support. Moreover, SVPSO donated funds, raised through affordable speech and debate coaching in the US, to aid the children in Ukraine.

Moldova, despite its status as one of Europe's poorest and smallest nations, has become the primary host for Ukrainian refugees, with a significant proportion of the 6.5 million displaced Ukrainians seeking refuge there. In response to this crisis, Peace Winds Japan (PWJ), an NGO committed to assisting those in distress, mobilized aid efforts. SVPSO also played a role by contributing funds to support affected Ukrainian and Moldovan children through PWJ.
